Trattoria Sant’Ambrogio

This is a must if you’re staying near Cefalù! A hidden gem indeed. Make a reservation, it’s needed they are that busy. The family welcomed us right in, as we came 2 times in the 3 days we stayed in Sant’Ambrogio! The Chef is the father, mother and daughter duo provide the most excellent service. The food is delicious, we had 6 different plates and each one was superb.

Excellent food and kind of "feel like home" service. Every dish we ordered was amazing, full of flavour and fresh. Red prawns tartare with buffalo mozzarella it's something you will remember forever. Stuffed calamari as second dish is great. We also can recommend porcini pasta. Local wine also available in reasonable price. The restaurant is open from 19:00 during the weekdays. Access is not easy, you need to drive through small village buy it's nothing unusual in Sicily. Parking spaces are available down the road on the left side, just 2 mins walking distance from the entrance. Prices are similar to all good restaurants on the island between 15 - 25.

We’ve been going to this restaurant and it is my favourite so far in Italy. My son never eats anything but he loves their bolognese. Their cacao de pepe with the red freshest shrimp I’ve ever had in my life is sooooooo good! We made a reservation to go our last night here because it’s that special of a place. I love the family. I will miss this place.

The best restaurant in Sicily! We’ve discovered this family-run jewel last year… and this year we’ve specifically reserved some days in Sant’Ambrogio to be able to enjoy dinners in this restaurant.The fish here is fresh, varied and cooked to perfection - every day you might find something new, based on the catch of the day. So, if your focus is to eat the real fish straight from the sea - it’s the right place. Moreover, the antipasti and pasta dishes are simply amazing!And what is so special about this place is that Sandra and Piero make you really feel welcome and at home. We’ll be back again for sure! 3

This family run trattoria is excellent but very popular so book ahead! Friendly staff were welcoming and happy to accommodate all our questions. The food was delicious with a wide choice. Lots of fish, some meat and a decent selection of vegetarian options (that are generally rare in Sicily). The view was extraordinary. Highly recommend popping in if you are in the area.

Wonderful trattoria with authentic Sicilian food. We showed up for dinner without a reservation, but were lucky to get a table. The restaurant is pretty small and got very busy, so it's better to RSVP ahead of time. Carpaccio fungi was delicious, as well as fungi pasta and pasta with the home made tomato sauce.

Another great restaurant in S'ant Ambrogio. Fresh caught seafood, very friendly staff. Everyone was super nice about our terrible attempts at communicating (visiting from US). This was the first time my daughter was ever willing to try very new foods. She enjoyed octopus and ate an entire fish. She'd never even gone near a fish that still had bones and a head on it. Great experience and everyone should try this (and Sikula) if they visit Cefalu.Imagine, the incredible view didn't come up in this review...that says a lot because the view is unbelievable

Came about this place after a long car journey to our bnb. Was recommended by a passing local.The vibe was pleasant, with a beautiful outdoor seating area.The food and service was great, the mushrooms being a point of pride (locally acquired). And the owner came and checked on us during dinner which was a nice addition!Also enjoyed the company of some roaming stray cats.
